5 Feb - 29 May                               Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

Famed conductors and musicians from around the globe join the lineup for this excellent season. The highlight of festivities is expected to be Benjamin Britten's War Requiem, staged to coincide with the centenary of the great composer's birth.

Tate Modern offers a rare opportunity to see a significant chunk of cult modern art by this doyen of Americana. All in all 125 different works will be on display – a great many in the artist's signature comic book style.

Now in its fifth year, Udderbelly returns to the South Bank with its unmistakeable upturned purple cow to bring a wide variety of the best comedy, cabaret, circus and family entertainment.

Watch as some of the globe's fittest athletes pass right by Think Apartments on their way around this World Marathon Major course, followed by many more brave amateurs and fancy dressers.

This traditional production of The Bard's playful classic takes place in the similarly dream-like setting of Shakespeare's Globe. On a sunny evening there are few more atmospheric places to enjoy this work by England's most legendary playwright.

Based in the Udderbelly, this festival showcases the weird and wonderful from around the world. Last year's Cantina performance was one of the capital's hottest tickets, and much the same is expected this summer.
