Southwark Cathedral

Places of interest
There has been a church on this site for more
than a thousand years. In the 17th century,
the great playwrights Williams Shakespeare
and Geoffrey Chaucer worshipped at Southwark Cathedral. Shakespeare is believed to have been present when John Harvard, founder of the American University, was baptized here in 1607.

a large range of yachts moored up and there
also a lock that leads to the River Thames itself.
